AFK Laundry, Grinding XP
It’s been a long, hard road—but here we are:
Base 70s!
I’ve been putting in work.
My absolute favorite part of RuneScape?
Quests and diary tasks.
It gives me the same high as crossing something off a to-do list. Which, let’s be real, is basically my love language.
If you don’t live for writing lists just to check things off…
What are you even living for?
The Struggle with Skilling
Least favorite part of the game?
Skilling.
I’m getting better, though.
Thanks to my own personal Henry Cavill, I now have dual monitors (yes, the excitement of gaming together also leveled up my set up).
He kept suggesting I do something else while skilling to make it less boring. You know—watch YouTube, listen to a podcast, run another game on the second screen…
But unfortunately, that’s just not how my brain works.
The D in ADHD
In every other part of my life, multitasking is mandatory:
Making dinner
Answering questions that start with “But what if…”
Listening to an audiobook
Keeping children and pets alive
But when I’m gaming?
Locked. In.
I watch every axe swing.
Monitor every update to my inventory.
I cannot—not even for a second—take my eyes off the screen or my hand off the mouse.
That’s the “D” in ADHD, I’m pretty sure.
You know… disorder.
Skilling With Netflix (Almost)
I am improving, though.
I recently started rewatching Orange Is the New Black while skilling—and it actually worked!
Well, it did… right up until season 5.
Longest prison riot of all time.
I lost focus halfway through and forgot what I was doing entirely.
That’s the thing about my attention span:
I’m either completely locked in
or
absolutely unavailable.
There is no in-between.
